The Versatility of the Samsung Galaxy S
Samsung Electronics has arguably become one of the biggest companies in the mobile phone industry, unleashing such superb handsets like the Samsung Galaxy S and the Galaxy S 2. The news tells us that the smartphones from Samsung have hit the 10 million mark in sales. The popularity of the phone is unmatched, making it one of the most famous. Its specs are amazing, considering the products that big companies like Nokia, Apple, LG and BlackBerry are unveiling.
This smartphone weighs 119g with dimensions measuring 122 X 64 X 9.9 mm. Its dimensions make it one of the world’s slimmest phones. It has a 4-inch display for a screen, which obviously exhibits touch screen characteristics to its best. The pixel capacity of the phone makes this display one of the sharpest the world has ever seen on a phone. With 16-million color display and a 480 X 800 resolution, the Samsung phones make watching videos, movies and pictures an enjoyable activity. It also contains a proxy and accelerometer-sensing device, making viewing angles optional, depending on the user.
All the data, including music, videos and document files can be stored from an inboard storage facility that is 8GB in capacity. To add to this, there is a 16GB version that the company offers. The exterior slots for data storage go up to 32GB through a microSD storage slot on the side of the phone. As for Internet connectivity, the phone contains a couple of features that make Internet access either an enjoyable thing or an easy-to-access process. It contains a 12GPRS device, with a capacity to sense networks that are suitable to be used. The Wi-Fi installed herein combines with 3G coverage to make downloading easy and fast. The micro USB connections and other transfer mechanisms, like Bluetooth, make it easy to connect the smartphone to other exterior computer devices.
All these things are made possible thanks to the Android Operating System (OS). The intermediary between the hardware and the software components of the Samsung Galaxy S makes the job a bit more bearable for the user. They can multitask however much they desire as the OS has been constructed in such a way to give the phone the ability to do this. Samsung phones have come a long way to unveil such power and efficiency, and evidently, the Samsung Galaxy S has also done so.
